MERIP SPEAKERS’ BUREAU

Welcome to MERIP’s Speakers Bureau. This new collaborative program allows you to help raise money for MERIP by organizing public events at your home institution. If you arrange talks, colloquia, workshops, and public events at your university, you can invite fellow MERIP colleagues from the following list who have already agreed to donate their honoraria to MERIP.
As many public events have moved online, arranging such occasions no longer requires hefty travel costs and organizing time. This makes it easier for both speakers and organizers to share their knowledge with students and new audiences, educate and raise awareness about ongoing issues in the region, highlight MERIP’s profile and, not least, to volunteer to donate their honoraria to the MERIP. Given Merip’s wide circle of leading experts on a diverse range of regional topics, donating a few hours of your time to organize an online educational event or to give a talk can translate into substantial contributions to MERIP.

Interested in organizing an event using the speaker’s bureau?

Please contact any speaker from the list below as you organize events (classroom talks, public colloquia, etc.) at your institution and pay them an honorarium. All members of the speaker’s bureau have pre-agreed to donate the honorarium to MERIP. For purposes of publicity, please share event specifics with James Ryan for promotion on MERIP’s communication channels.

Interested in joining the speakers bureau?

The speakers’ bureau is open to past contributors to MERIP. To enroll in the Speakers’ Bureau, send our Executive Director James Ryan, your name, affiliation, and a list of the topics that you can address. You are volunteering to donate your honorarium to MERIP once you have been invited as a speaker.
